From our development of a super-clean diesel engine, to the production of our hydrogen powered cars, right down to the plastic cups we recycle in the staff canteen. By 2010, our plan is to send zero waste to landfill from our Swindon factory. Our Tochigi testing facility is dedicated to exhaustively testing every one of our technologies. It’s the home of our advanced Polar II crash test dummy which gives us the ability to measure exactly how the human body reacts in any accident. The belief we have in safety and environmental advances means that we don’t patent our technology. This allows other carmakers to share in our discoveries. So every car can be as protected as a Honda and the roads can be a much safer place to be.

Keeping your fleet on the road
In anticipation of the unexpected, we have a number of measures in place to keep your fleet mobile. Every Honda is protected by three warranties. Our Standard Warranty is for three years or 90,000 miles, whichever is reached first. There’s also three year Paint Surface Warranty and six-year Surface Corrosion Warranty. Chances are, they won’t be needed. But it’s reassuring to know that they’re there.
A breakdown with a Honda is unlikely. But, it always helps to be prepared. That’s why every Honda comes with three years complimentary membership of Hondacare Assistance. A comprehensive 24-hour roadside assistance scheme that includes recovery and roadside assistance and is run for us by the AA. Because accidents do happen our Hondacare Accident Helpline is also on hand with information on insurance claims, repairs and how to get vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible.
